What is iMAKE?
iLEAD Academy does many fundraisers in order to help provide the resources to be successful. Maker Fair is an event held at the iLEAD Academy in which students create or build their own products to sell. Our team built iMAKE for students to sell their products. iLEAD students start by developing a plan which includes the materials needed, the time needed, quantity and profit. The students then present their plan to the IMAKE committee which consists of, four students and a teacher representative. The committee gives feedback and explains how the student can improve their product. All products are not just sold at the annual Maker Fair, but, on the iMAKE website. iMAKE will allow students to be creative and contribute to raising money for iLEAD Academy.
iLEAD Academy
iLEAD Academy's mission is to create a learning environment that students will enjoy and will benefit from. iLEAD offers a challenge to those students who wanted more than what high school has to offer. The academy allows students to choose a career pathway and get a higher education through Carroll County Area Technology Center and Jefferson Community Techincal College. While attending students have the opportunity to earn their associate's degree in high school. iLEAD students have a say in their education and work with teachers to design their plan to help find the appropriate classes and helps the student find the best type of learning environment. In 8th grade, students are able to apply. The application process consists of interviews, essays, and references. Every year the academy accepts 40-50 freshmen from the five surrounding counties, Henry, Gallatin, Owen, Trimble, and Carroll Counties.

Where does your money go?
Field Trips
iLEAD Academy students attend many field trips. The field trips include college visits, career choice visits, conferences and more. The field trips help students chose their career pathway and it allows students to prepare for their future.

Resources
iLEAD wants their students to have everything they need to succeed within their reach. Resources needed include office supplies but while iLEAD is a STEM based academy technology is needed. This includes woodworking tools, drills, saws, 3D printers, computers, and more.

Clubs
TSA, KUNA, STLP, Vex Robotics, KYA, Media are just a few examples of clubs that are offered to the students. These clubs require funding. TSA and KUNA both require overnight stay in Lousiville because they are a 3-day conference. iLEAD Academy students also needs funding to get resources for their projects created for their clubs.

Other
Students chose not to have a regular high school experience when they come to iLEAD. Therefore, iLEAD does everything they can to create events that resemble a regular high school experience or help them adapt. This includes a separate graduation, junior/senior trips, game nights, potlucks, and more. This is important because it grows the iLEAD community and gives students a chance to have a break from school work.
