Class of 2020

Tell me about yourself.

I am a senior and I attend iLEAD Academy. This may I will graduate with my Associates of Science from Jefferson Community and Technical College. Through High School I have earned many leadership roles including being part of the Student Government and NHS Offices. I have also earned my Microsoft Office Certification.

What is your biggest weakness?

Many see being a perfectionist as a strength, but as a perfectionist I hold myself back because I want everything to be perfect right away. While working on projects I find it hard to not to criticize my work and keep trying to make one minor detail.I never take time to celebrate my successes.

What is your biggest strength?

My biggest strength is my work ethic. Once I put my mind to a task I finish it to the best of my ability. Having a strong work ethic also means that developing integrity and positive communication skills. For example, I provide feedback that helps build my peers up but also allows for growth.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, I will be graduated from college. I plan to get my bachelors in Information Systems and masters in Data Analytics or Business. After I graduate I hope that I will find a job and find my own apartment.

What drives you?

I am driven by the final product. I like setting goals and get a sense of accomplishment once the task is completed. I enjoy making an organized schedule, this allows me to achieve my goals on time.

What are your goals for the future?

My goals are to earn a leadership position with in a company where I get to work with a team and create something for a client.

What are you passionate about?

I am passionate about soccer and helping others. I enjoy playing with my team and earning are successes together.

How do you work in stressful situations?

If I ever get super stressed I usual take a step away from my work and let myself get a few deep breathes. Once I've calmed down I go back to work. I have found that I can work under pressure, but once I overthink it can be difficult for me to focus.

How do you prioritize your work?

I always make myself a spreadsheet that splits my work up by category and due dates. While working I always start with the first due date and then I work on what I am most eager about. Working on something I enjoy motivates me to finish my work for the due dates coming up.

What should I know that's not on your resume?

I am a very empathetic and caring person. I love helping others and seeing others succeed. Sometimes I will catch myself putting everyone needs before my own, but as long as I can help someone I am happy.
